The Alma Laser system is a diode laser. The rapid pulse, constant motion with the low fluency diode laser represents an advance in safety, efficiently and tolerability of laser hair removal treatment.
During the treatment you will first feel the very cold tip which feels like an ice cube- this coolness protects the skin and makes the treatment very comfortable. After 20-30 seconds you will feel a little pulling/tweezing sensation which is the laser penetrating down to the follicle (which is what damages it). You will only feel this sensation for less then a minute in each section. The sensation is not painful. Some say they do not feel any discomfort. Some say the feel a little discomfort but no one says that the feeling is painful. And once the area is done there is no lasting discomfort or irritation on the skin. So easy. And so fast.
