Can you laser while being tan? With all other lasers other then the Alma Lasers system you cannot have any sun exposure when you are coming in for a treatment. You will get burnt if the laser picks up any of extra melanin. With the Alma system we can laser any skin types and tanned skin due to the in motion technology. We ask you to stay out of the sun for a few days before coming in so you do not have any fresh melanin- we are then able to use a more appropriate setting for your skin verses one that is for the newly tanned skin. And then we ask you to stay out of the sun for a dew days after the treatment until the energy dies down in your skin. Just a few days isn't hard!! After that you are more then welcome to an or be exposed to our Florida sun- just make sure that you use sun screen avoid wrinkles and skin cancer.
