Are you struggling to get lighter hairs with your laser treatments?

Updated: Sep 30, 2023

The way that laser hair removal works is that it damages the follicle so hopefully one day the follicle will be so damaged that doesn't produce a viable hair. All lasers are attracted to something- the laser hair removal system is attracted to pigment/melanin. Sometimes we get people that do have enough melanin for the laser to pick up but after a few treatments when the hairs get lighter and finer there isn't enough pigment for the laser to work.

PBL has just invested in a new hand piece for our Alma system- an Alexandrite wavelength ($27k!!) attachment that will help us to get those lighter, finer hairs- a very expensive investment but is worth it. So far in the last few weeks we have gotten much better results with the lighter hairs. Only in one situation where someone's hairs were extremely light and fine after 5 or 6 treatments were we not able to get the hairs. But for a bunch of people the hand piece has been great.

If you are a

client that is currently struggling get those lights hairs or you are someone that hasn't been in to PBL but have struggled with hairs with another company or laser come in and check it out. Just let us know what is going on and we can hook up the new hand piece to the laser.
